Selecting the Perfect Gold
I begin crafting your engagement ring by choosing the highest quality gold, typically 99% pure. This ensures that your ring will have both elegance and durability. I also select non-reactive metals like silver and other allergy-free materials for mixing.
Creating the Gold Ingot
Next, I melt the carefully chosen metals together in a crucible using a torch, creating a molten mixture. This is a crucial step in the process as it forms the basis for the ring. The molten metal is then poured into an ingot mold.
Forging and Milling
I forge the gold to align its molecular structure and make it more malleable. The forged gold is then passed through my rolling mill to create a fine wire of the desired thickness.
Shaping the Ring
Using the wire, I shape it into a half wire and then form it into the desired ring size. To ensure a strong bond, I use hard solder to connect the two ends, creating the foundation of your unique ring.
